RK Initiative’s Relaython was a massive success

Dr. Rekha Gour and Dr. Kavita Nalwa, in association with Thane Rural Police and Thane Traffic Police organised India’s first “Build India Relaython”. RK Initiative organised the run, that took place on the 24th of November and was a massive success with actor Rohitashv Gour as the chief guest.
Social issues have always meant a lot to Rohitash, who has often fought for these causes. “From the very beginning, I have been attached to the social issues. I always used to wonder how I can improve the standard of living of the lower class or the unprivileged,” he says, adding, “Then I got married to Rekha. She was Scientific Assistant in a Cancer Research Institute back then. She also had a vision of helping people fight the dreadful disease. I was also inspired by her work and her initiatives.”
The run saw almost 1000 people participating. It started from Joggers Park in Bhayander to Deepak Hospital, Mira Road and ended back at the starting point.
“We all thought of doing something which is related to the fitness of the people as the public is very conscious of its health. This Relaython has happened for the first time in India with the main objective being health and fitness. We also wanted to develop team spirit. It  is such a concept which cannot be completed without team spirit as it is a team game,” says Rekha, adding that they plan to have a similar run every year.
