This Diwali is going to be a busy one for actor Kishori Shahane Vij. The actor is part of a play which will be premiered at the end of the month and she is caught up with that. “This Diwali is actually going to be quite busy for me because one of my plays is opening up on 24th of November. It’s called ‘Piano for sale’, so my rehearsals are not going to stop, even on Diwali. So, I will be busy with them. Also, my show ‘Ishq Mein Marjawan’ is going on, so again I’ll be busy with that,” she says.

The actor says that she loves the festival of lights and the festivals that come with it. “Lakshmi Puja will be great fun as it’s a family get together in our house, so everybody in the family does puja together. I like a typical traditional Diwali with rangolis and diyas. Then, we have Bhai Dooj, so I meet my brothers. I have three brothers and although we are not related by blood, they are my real brothers since last 25 years. So, I will be with them on Bhai Dooj,” she says.

The actor has many fond memories of the festivals. “The fondest memory I have is of when I was a child, maybe around 12 –  13 years old. We had gone to a farm where tomatoes were grown and we actually celebrated the Tomatina festival over there on Diwali. It was really fun. Instead of bursting crackers we were bursting tomatoes and making some kind of juice,” she says.
